Ángel Serrano, PhD, a member of FRAV, will give a Workshop on Arduino next June 28, during the so-called FesTICval 2012  which is being organized by the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering  (ETSII) of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos  (URJC). The activity is sponsored by the Vice-Rectorate of European Harmonization and the Social Council of the University, as well as by the Cooking Hacks  shop, which has donated 2 Arduino-related presents  which will be raffled among the attendants.

The Workshop will be held from 10 to 14 h on June 28, 2012. The classroom is 109 in the Laboratory III Building of Móstoles Campus (see how to get here ). It is prepared for High School students of the Sciences and Technology branch, from public or private institutes of the Madrid Region, and it is completely free.

The foreseen contents of the activity are as follows:

  • Presentation
  • What Arduino is
  • Review of concepts on electrical circuits
  • Arduino IDE
  • Circuits with digital signals
  • Basic concepts of programming
  • Circuits with analogical signals
  • Raffle of presents

This activity is the final one of the project on innovation and improvement of teaching titled "Encouragement of creativity in subjects of the Computer Architecture and Technology area applied to programmable hardware-based projects by means of a Blended Learning methodology and problem based learning", which has been directed by Ángel Serrano, PhD, for his students of the Degree in Information Technology Engineering during the academical year now ending, 2011/2012.
